Perhaps the biggest surprise of COPA v Wright’s opening week is that it saw very little of the explosive anger or verbal jousting that many had imagined for a trial which has the future of the digital asset industry as its stakes.
As thousands of pages of evidence and hours of testimony were presented to the jury, it has become apparent that though there is a serial forger in the midst of the Kleiman v Wright suit, it isn’t Wright.
Jamie Wilson is a former employee of Dr. Craig Wright in Australia who appeared via a video deposition early in the trial but whose name resurfaced during the defense cross-examination of Dr. Matthew Edman.
One character in the Kleiman v Wright Satoshi case is Jamie Wilson. He crops up in a number of places: apparently an old CFO for Dr. Craig Wright’s companies, he was deposed in 2019.
Parties in the Kleiman v Wright trial powered ahead on Day 3, as the jury were shown video testimony from pre-trial depositions and most importantly got the chance to hear from the plaintiff directly as Ira Kleiman took the stand.
Dave Kleiman’s brother and the personal representative of the deceased’s estate took the stand on Day 3 of the Kleiman vs. Wright trial. And although it’s already the third day in the proceedings, this was only Ira Kleiman’s second time appearing in court.
