Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Building an idea into a business is difficult; building it on the blockchain is an even bigger challenge. This makes Block Dojo one of the most critical players in the BSV ecosystem. As Matthias De Cnuydt-Hope explained, the global venture builder is in the business of turning dreams into businesses.

Matthias, the Program Director at Block Dojo, spoke at the BSV DevCon, an event catering to the technical minds in the blockchain world on the sidelines of the London Blockchain Conference.

“There are loads of people with good ideas, but they don’t know where to get started, and that’s what the program is trying to provide,” he told CoinGeek Backstage reporter Jon Southurst following his presentation.

“It’s a structured way to get you from “This is my early-stage idea” all the way to “I’m ready to go talk to investors. I have a pitch. I have an MVP. I have a financial model.” Everything that comes with building a business.”

Block Dojo understands that entrepreneurs need to build more than just a technical product to be successful, “and that’s the problem we’re trying to solve.”

Launched three years ago, the global venture builder has helped build over 60 companies and expanded beyond London. Its latest program launched in August 2023 in the Philippines.

The venture builder has produced some massive successes, including MoveGenius, which graduated from the program to raise its pre-seed round at a valuation of $4.5 million.

“There are loads of companies that have left our program and are now in their seed stage building out the next big thing,” Matthias noted.

Block Dojo walks with a company from ideation to global expansion, providing much more than just funding. One critical resource it offers is networking, connecting the builders to mentors who have built successful businesses and led some of the world’s largest companies. According to Matthias, most of these industry leaders are always happy to give back and share the insights they have accrued over decades of experience.

“They love helping early-stage entrepreneurs build their dreams,” he said.
