2019 has been a HUGE year for Bitcoin SV (BSV), with endless activity thriving within the ecosystem and nothing but the brightest future ahead. As we gear up for what promises to be an even bigger year for the BSV blockchain, let’s have a look at some of the leaders in the BSV space who have brought us to where we are today.

10) Alexander Shulgin: Bitcoin SV is a fantastic platform for content

Alexander or “Sasha” Shulgin, Russian author and composer, CEO of Gruppa Kompaniy Familia and the Bitcoin Association’s Russia Ambassador, is a firm believer in the power of Bitcoin SV. In this interview, Shulgin talks on the unique ability for the BSV blockchain to scale massively and therefore its ability to solve problems we’ve known for decades, including content creation, distribution and management in the music industry.

9) Steve Shadders: Bitcoin development approaching exponential payoff

This interview with Steve Shadders, CTO of nChain and one of the brightest minds in BSV development, was filmed during the CoinGeek Toronto Developer’s Day. As one of the key speakers from the day, Shadders recaps why its important to create environments for developers to talk technically. Shadders also talks on the importance of keeping the user experience smooth, the Quasar update and BSV’s unique ability to scale.

8) Dr. Craig Wright: Just like all of us, data wants value too

In this interview with Dr. Craig Wright, the creator of Bitcoin and chief scientist of nChain, he reveals his future plans for the BSV blockchain. Dr. Wright dives into his vision for the BSV-powered Metanet project, his way of revolutionizing the internet and replacing it with something that works better. He also emphasizes the importance of miners and explains how they are responsible for securing Bitcoin.

7) Kristy Leigh Minehan: BitcoinSV is treating miners right

After her presentation at CoinGeek Toronto, Kristy Leigh Minehan of Core Scientific revealed how BSV is changing the mining ecosystem for the better. She explains how her organization helps to make miners more profitable and how she is personally doing her part to educate miners on the unique opportunities BSV has to offer. Minehan points out how BSV is the only chain that allows miners to be an important part of the decision-making process and says the largest concentration of miners are in China and education on BSV should begin there.

6) Dr. Craig Wright on the accountability of Bitcoin, Metanet incentives

Dr. Craig Wright appears on our list again, this time coming to us from CoinGeek Toronto. In this interview, Dr. Wright shares how happy he is to see the energy and excitement surrounding the conference and the BSV ecosystem in general. He elaborates on his vision of legitimizing crypto currency with BSV and also touches on BSV’s unique ability to massively scale. He provides an update on the Metanet project, explaining how there will be tutorials coming out from nChain shortly, so people can start building.

5) Kristy Leigh Minehan: Bitcoin should work but not be seen

In this interview with Minehan, filmed after her presentation at CoinGeek London, she talks on Bitcoin’s journey towards global adoption. She emphasizes the need to involve governments, ditch the technical hurdles and annoyances and make Bitcoin easy to use. Once this happens, she predicts banks will get involved and after banks come businesses, followed by the public.

4) Ryan X. Charles believes in the economic vision of Bitcoin

One of the first interviews released on CoinGeek in 2019 was this one with Ryan X. Charles, the CEO of Money Button, an extremely user-friendly BSV payment system. In this interview he emphasizes how BSV is the original Bitcoin and how the economics of Bitcoin Core (BTC) are “radically different”. He says Bitcoin SV is Bitcoin and explains how BSV addresses the need for a stable protocol and has the ability to massively scale.

3) Jerry Chan on redefining “Bitcoin to the moon”

Also released at the beginning of 2019 was this interview with Jerry Chan, at the time with SBI Group and now Asia Regional Manager of the Bitcoin Association, regarding ways to make crypto mining more productive and sustainable. He estimates global mining power to be equal to or even less than the electricity used by financial institutions worldwide. He provides insights into what possibilities there are in the future for mining, such as opening up facilities on the moon or other planets.

2) Becky’s Affiliated: A discussion with Calvin Ayre on today’s BSV landscape

In this interview with our Founder and one of BSV’s biggest supporters, Calvin Ayre, he reveals his thoughts on some of the hottest topics surrounding the BSV ecosystem. Ayre explains why he is certain Dr. Craig Wright is Satoshi Nakamoto, why and how internet trolling must be stopped, the importance of scaling, why big blocks matter and why the public should be focused on utility rather than price. Watch it here.

1) Dr. Craig Wright on being recognized as Satoshi Nakamoto in Colombia

This interview with Dr. Craig Wright and Jimmy Nguyen was filmed in Colombia at the Concejo de Bogota (the Council of Bogota) after Dr. Wright was presented with an official proclamation by the Council, recognizing him as Satoshi Nakamoto. Dr. Wright talks on the importance of introducing Bitcoin to developing countries such as Colombia, countries he feels need it most. He also emphasizes his intent to work with governments as opposed to against them and speaks of his dedication to fighting corruption.
