Governor Kristi Noem vetoed HB 1193, a bill that excludes digital currencies like BSV from being termed money but included the yet-to-launch digital dollar.
If the proposed bill fulfills the legislative requirements, the amendments are expected to come into effect on July 1, 2024.
Known as the Virtual Currency Bill, it will introduce virtual currencies into the state’s Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) which governs commercial transactions in Texas.
