The working group comprises of tech giants, including Huawei, Tencent, NetEase, Ant Group, Baidu, and Sense Time, with engineering and ethics experts from leading Chinese universities.

The guidelines were published as part of an industrial development strategy which aims to drive uptake of new technologies around blockchain.
