Bitcoin SV DevCon 2021 coming May 15-16 to foster Bitcoin blockchain development

This year’s Bitcoin SV DevCon is coming up, bringing together the vast ecosystem of Bitcoin developers to learn from the leading minds in the industry. The two-day virtual event will be centered on developing applications for the Bitcoin SV blockchain and data network. It’s set to kick off over the weekend of May 15-16.

Hosted by Bitcoin Association, in partnership with nChain and WeAreDevelopers, the event follows up on the success of last year’s DevCons that were graced by Dr. Craig Wright among other leading innovators and thought leaders. The inaugural DevCon was held in July, with speakers including Tokenized CEO James Belding, sCrypt’s Xiaohui Liu, Money Button founder Ryan X. Charles and Elas Digital’s Brendan Lee. It attracted more than 10,000 unique participants from 80+ countries.

Jimmy Nguyen, Founding President of Bitcoin Association, remarked, “Last year’s events demonstrated the great interest from all corners of the globe in learning how to develop enterprise-grade blockchain applications – interest that we expect to build on with this year’s editions – as we help more developers to understand the power of the only blockchain with the ability to scale unbounded and provide a truly open platform for innovation and development, Bitcoin SV.”

This year’s event promises to be even better. It will include coverage of a variety of topics delving into the foundational knowledge of the Bitcoin network and Bitcoin Script, its programming language. Developers will also get guidance on how to build powerful applications on the Bitcoin blockchain. This will include sessions on how to leverage the latest SDKs and third-party tools to streamline the development process.

Bitcoin SV is the only blockchain network that scales unbounded, processes very high volumes of data and has nanopayment capabilities, and developers will get to learn how to leverage all this to build powerful applications.

nChain CTO Steve Shadders commented, “As we see more and more professional opportunities opening up for developers in the blockchain space – including quickly growing demand for Bitcoin engineers – I expect an even bigger and better event this time around.”

The event is not limited to Bitcoin SV developers. Developers whose applications run on Ethereum and other blockchain protocols are also welcome to learn more about Bitcoin SV and how it solves all the inherent limitations other blockchain protocols face. The Bitcoin SV DevCon is also open to non-blockchain developers who will get to learn how their development skills can apply to the blockchain ecosystem. In the previous DevCon, 60% of the attendees were newcomers to the blockchain space.

You can register here to be part of this year’s must-attend event for all established and aspiring Bitcoin developers.
