GITEX Global has an optimized combination of emerging technology and is an excellent event to boost the adoption of blockchain and other technology, says Sebastian Plötzeneder.

Plötzeneder, the senior strategy manager at nChain, was part of the enterprise blockchain company’s contingent to the 2023 event in Dubai, including CIO Christine Leong, whose
keynote presentation focused on digital identities and their role in achieving the Web3 vision.

In an interview with CoinGeek Backstage on the sidelines of the event, Plötzeneder described GITEX as “the biggest conference I’ve ever seen, bigger than anything in Europe or the U.S. It’s incredibly international and [has] a sense of excitement.”

Established 44 years ago, GITEX offers the premiere experience for tech innovators, enthusiasts, and investors to learn about the latest in tech, from artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning to self-driving cars and blockchain. This broad nature makes the event a must-attend for technophiles, says Plötzeneder.

For nChain, the event offered a platform to discuss how its solutions can integrate into other technology to boost efficiency, transparency, and accountability while cutting costs.

The event also aligns with nChain’s push into the Middle East, Plötzeneder added. While the London-based firm is targeting several countries in the region, Plötzeneder pointed out that Dubai offers the most strategic location to bring all parties together to discuss synergies and possible collaborations.

“Dubai is easy to get to for different partners to discuss what needs to be done and what we need to prioritize to make sure we get the best possible outcome for the new future,” he told CoinGeek Backstage.

Aside from nChain, the BSV ecosystem was represented by VaionexGate2Chain, Elas,
TimeChain LabsSilverLine, and others. UNISOT was also at the event, and founder Stephan Nilsson used the event to announce the launch of Halal On-Chain, a supply chain solution for tracing halal products on the BSV blockchain.
