The Philippines continues its goal of becoming one of Asia’s fastest-growing blockchain and digital asset hubs. That is undoubtedly true as another exciting week is ahead of us, with the upcoming Philippine Blockchain Week.

Experience a week-long “Web 2 to Web3” discussion in this upcoming event that will be held at the Marriot Grand Ballroom of the Newport World Resorts, Manila, on November 28 until December 4.

Learn from the discussions that will circle around blockchain technology and how it could disrupt how we work, live, and play. Explore different NFTs expositions, gaming tournaments, and networking opportunities with the industry’s leaders, regulators, government officials, and media outlets.

Dubbed the “Chaintrix,” which is inspired by the movie “The Matrix,” Philippine Blockchain Week aims to educate tech-savvy Filipinos about the use cases of blockchain technology.

“We have gathered experts from the blockchain ecosystem to discuss this technological advancement and how companies and people can benefit from it. The Philippine Blockchain Week also lets investors and businesses network and explore opportunities in the Philippine market,” said Dito COO Donald Lim during the Philippine Blockchain Week 2022’s press conference.

“The Philippines has the numbers to become a blockchain hub. Our population is at 110 million, with a median age of 25. We also have the highest internet penetration and the highest NFT penetration rate of a digital population,” he added.

Lim is one of the lead convenors of the event, alongside Women of Substance NFT Founder Chezka Gonzales.

Gonzales, who is also a commercial pilot, said that they are targeting students to join the inaugural event.

“This is a good opportunity for them to learn more about this digital evolution and how it has affected and will affect the way things will be done in the future,” she pointed out.

The blockchain week will highlight keynote speeches and plenary sessions from global thought leaders such as SANCTUM Founder Rico Pang; CEO of Metaverse XYZ Kate Hancock; CEO of IBH Media Daniel Robbins; CEO of Anotoys Collectiverse Oscar Tan-Abing, Jr.; Co-founder of IP3 Jay Ha; CEO of Meta Persona James Lim; Co-founder of Hyped Collective Tara Kwon; and much more.

Media partners include ANC, ABS-CBN, CNN Philippines, The Philippine Star, Business World, DOOH, Rakuten Viber, Cointelegraph, and CoinGeek. The Fintech Alliance, Institute of Corporate Directors, Management Association of the Philippines, International Council of Small Business PH, JCI Manila, Rotary District 3830, NFT Philippines, Institute of Corporate Directors, ACCESS Blockchain Association, BPAP, immap, and Women in Blockchain Philippines are among the industry partners.

Start preparing your calling cards as a three-day conference, job fair, and VC-startup matchmaking will be happening from November 29 – December 1. Various NFTs and gaming expositions, gala night, and after parties will also be held during the week-long activities.
