It’s been more than three years in the making, but this week, Satoshi Nakamoto—better known in the English and American courts as Dr. Craig S. Wright—finally extracted his pound of flesh from disgraced podcaster Peter McCormack.
Dr. Craig Wright sued in libel over 14 tweets published by Peter McCormack and words spoken by him in a YouTube video between March and October 2019.

The £90,000 relates to a series of filings by McCormack in 2021 in which he attempted to revive his abandoned legal defense at the eleventh hour.
As he made his Twitter exit, McCormack copped to being “a hypocrite” in his criticisms of the platform, noting that he was quite capable of “being a prick myself” in his interactions with other Twitter members.
Peter McCormack will now have to face Dr. Wright’s defamation claim at trial in May on the limited basis that though his attacks on Wright were untrue, they nonetheless still failed to cause him serious harm.
