Happy-belated Hanukkah, Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and happy holiday season!
The holiday season is a time for reflection, it’s a time to look back on the year that is coming to an end, and look forward to the year that is on the horizon—2021.
2020 was a turbulent year for the world, but hopefully, you found ways to work with the hand that the world dealt and capitalize off of it. The coronavirus had a significant impact on the way we live our lives, but at the same time, it catalyzed inevitable changes in our economy and society. For instance, it accelerated the exploration of blockchain technology and digital currency.
In 2020 we saw many countries announced central bank digital currency initiatives, and we even saw Tuvalu be on its way towards becoming the first paperless society by way of Bitcoin SV (BSV) at the end of 2020.
Prior to that, several monumental events took place in the Bitcoin ecosystem. CoinGeek London took place and was a huge success, CoinGeek Live adapted to the world coronavirus created and was a great success, and many Bitcoin companies launched, made significant announcements, or unveiled remarkable new products and features.
2021
Looking into next year, there is even more to be excited about. In 2021, some of the long-awaited technological developments in the Bitcoin ecosystem should be launching. The long-awaited wave of tokenization is set to arrive on BSV, there will most likely be more BSV onramps and offramps, and some of the enterprises in the health-care industry that generate significant amounts of data per day are getting closer to their official launches. In addition, CoinGeek announced that CoinGeek VII, the first CoinGeek conference that will happen in 2021, will be taking place in Zurich!
Just as much as the holiday season is a time to reflect and plan for the future, it is a time to relax. Enjoy those few days that you have off from work, enjoy the time that you can spend with your friends and family—even if it has to be virtual. The holidays should be spent in a way that deviates from the regular work to weekend continuity, so don’t forget to take the time to rest.
