The third episode of BSV Stories—Zug—will make its YouTube premiere on October 26. In this latest episode of BSV Stories, CoinGeek’s Natalie Mason explores Switzerland’s Crypto Valley, the home of many digital currency and blockchain focused businesses.

Zug, Switzerland is the home of the Bitcoin Association headquarters and both TAAL Distributed Information Technologies Inc. (CSE:TAAL | FWB:9SQ1 | OTC: TAALF)  and nChain have offices located there. Why? Because Zug is one of the best locations in the world for a Bitcoin or blockchain business to set up shop.

Why Zug is Crypto Valley

Zug, Switzerland is looking to be a hub of innovation for blockchain and fintech businesses, and it has already made several efforts to make that goal a reality. Zug has one of the best blockchain and digital currency regulatory frameworks. Its government realized that it needed to modernize existing legislation to accommodate digital assets—so they did just that.

The Swiss parliament approved several amendments to existing legislation so that the laws did a better job of encompassing the blockchain and digital currency industry. The three most significant amendments were regarding tokenization, digital asset exchanges, and bankruptcy laws.

For nascent industries to thrive, regulatory clarity is a must, and Zug is one of the only locations that provide it.

Zug is one of the most forward-thinking locations in the world when it comes to digital currency and even announced that it will begin accepting digital currencies including for tax payments beginning in February 2021.

Where can I watch BSV Stories – Zug?

You are going to have to wait until October 26th to watch BSV Stories Episode 3–Zug.

But in the meantime, you can learn more about the Bitcoin companies located in Zug and their initiatives. Earlier this year, a few representatives from Bitcoin companies spoke at an exclusive event that introduced residents and occupants of Zug to Bitcoin (BSV). In addition, at CoinGeek Live, Bitcoin Association Europe & Operations Manager Patrick Prinz gave the audience a look inside of the Bitcoin Associations headquarters in Zug, Switzerland.
