Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

On December 7, from 4:00 pm to 9:30 pm, AI Forge, the 12-week in-person artificial intelligence (AI) incubator that gives early-stage start-ups the education and resources they need to succeed, will host a hackathon with Domino’s Pizza (NASDAQ: DPZ).

AI-powered solutions for quick service restaurants

The hackathon will focus on the pain points experienced by Quick Service Restaurants (QSRs) and food delivery markets; participants will analyze the problems encountered in this industry by major players like Domino’s Pizza and then create solutions that harness the power of AI and machine learning that lead to innovation and increases in efficiency in the QSR and food delivery sectors.

“This hackathon offers a unique launchpad for aspiring entrepreneurs and corporates in the QSR industry,” said Andrew Weston, the Partnership Director at AI Forge, who organized the hackathon.

“The food delivery sector is growing, but its companies still experience several pain points. Naturally, as an artificial intelligence incubator, we began asking corporates what they’re doing in AI and if they feel like they’re using AI to the best of their abilities, and of course, nobody felt like they were doing enough! Despite having 25 ongoing AI projects, Domino’s were the first to jump on the wagon and said let’s do something about this now.”

At the hackathon, participants will pick one of the many pain points experienced by Domino’s. They will be provided with several data sets such as delivery data, GPS points, and more so that the participating teams can see whether there’s an AI model that can be built to solve a particular problem Domino’s experiences.

Domino’s CTO, CIO, and other AI/startup experts will judge the hackathon. The hackathon winner will earn themselves a spot in AI Forge’s upcoming cohort, which kicks off in January 2024, and an additional £10,000 ($12,657) cash prize.

QSR and food delivery sector hackathon

Anyone who is interested in launching a business that is powered by AI would find it beneficial to participate in the hackathon. Both established teams and solo founders are encouraged to sign up and attend; the event will kick off with a discussion of the challenges the QSR industry faces and the various implementations of AI that could solve the problems. Afterward, there will be a “team speed dating” session, which will allow individuals to form or grow their teams before they begin building.

If you are interested in participating in the AI Forge x Domino’s QSR and Food Delivery Sector Hacakthon, you must register via the Hackathon’s official event page.

If you are still looking for more information, AI Forge will host a webinar on December 1 at 12:00 p.m. GMT. The webinar will shed light on the challenges QSRs face, outline the agenda of the hackathon, and touch on the datasets that will be provided by Domino’s. Whether you are interested in building an AI Start-up or are on your journey to learn more about the artificial intelligence industry, you won’t want to miss this webinar!

In order for artificial intelligence (AI) to work right within the law and thrive in the face of growing challenges, it needs to integrate an enterprise blockchain system that ensures data input quality and ownership—allowing it to keep data safe while also guaranteeing the immutability of data. Check out CoinGeek’s coverage on this emerging tech to learn more why Enterprise blockchain will be the backbone of AI.
