The heat is on in the Philippines as we welcome the month of March in one of the best summer destinations in the Southeast Asian country—La Union.

This month, Bitskwela is hosting another event to drive the summer heat up with another round of the Bull or Bear debate on March 17. Get ready with your summer outfits as Bitskwela and co-presenters GCash and Yield Guild Pilipinas bring the action of the Bull or Bear: Philippine Web3 Debate to San Juan, La Union—known as the Surfing Capital of the Northern Philippines.

What to expect: Speakers, topics, and fun

Familiar faces from the previous Manila debate, like Jen Bilango of Blockchain Space, Mark Nunez of GCash, and Patty Tiu of Nekoin Protocol Filipinas NFT, are joining again as debaters together with new faces like Chezka Gonzales of Women of Substance, Luis Buenaventura of Yield Guild Games, Renz Chong of BreederDAO, and Bernadette Misa of Playdex. La Union and the DICT government officials are also expected to attend the debates.

Unlike most events structured around the panels’ opinions, Bitskwela’s format is a bit different. The moderator will ask questions related to the current issues in the blockchain space, and the debaters will be given ten seconds to decide whether they are bullish or bearish by flipping the stands with green or red sides provided to them at the start of the discussion—red stands for being “bearish” or if they disagree with the statement and green for “bullish” or if they agree. Each speaker will be given two minutes to explain their stance, with a session lasting for around 15 minutes.

The Bull or Bear debate aims to educate viewers about digital currencies, web3, NFTs, metaverse, and blockchain.

This event in La Union is the third one of the many debates that Bitskwela will be hosting. The first one happened in November at the KMC Skydeck, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, while the second happened last December at Nova Tierra Village, Lanag, Davao City.
