On May 20, in partnership with the BSV Association, the blockchain incubator Block Dojo will be hosting its next “Spring Discussions,” focusing on the future of venture funding. The event runs from 5-7 p.m. GMT at Google London’s Central Saint Giles location and will include a panel discussion in addition to unique networking opportunities.
“The purpose of the Spring Discussions is to bring together the Blockchain and VC ecosystems for a fun event held by our partners at Google!” Block Dojo’s Global Commercial Director Jay Gujral told CoinGeek.
“It’s a perfect time for this panel due to the growth of blockchain and web3 investing across the globe,” he added.
Panelists will include seasoned veterans in the Venture Capital space: Ash Arora of Local Globe, Anil Hansjee of Fabric Ventures, Conner Cantwell of COSIMO Venture Partners, and James Massey of Google (NASDAQ: GOOGL), all hand-picked by Gujral.
“Our panelists were selected because of their Web3 expertise and their ‘on the ground’ knowledge of investing and the ecosystem in general,” he said.
Block Dojo’s Investment Director, Gareth Hawkins, will be moderating the panel and diving into subjects such as Web3 and blockchain opportunities, macro-economy and deal activity, investment trends, advice for seed-stage founders, the changing landscape of venture, and more.
Following the panel discussion, attendees are invited to the Block Dojo and BSV Association Spring Party at Bunga Bunga Covent Garden, an opportunity for further networking alongside complimentary food and drinks.
The Spring Party also serves as the “kick-off event” of the London Blockchain Conference, bringing together the U.K. Venture capital community, blockchain enthusiasts, and past and future Block Dojo founders. To request your invite to the party, simply register your interest here.
The highly anticipated London Blockchain Conference takes place May 21 – May 23 at the London ExCeL, and as an event sponsor, the Block Dojo team looks forward to welcoming you there as well.
“We’ll have a wonderful stand at LBC showcasing eight of our companies for the three days, whilst also putting together a panel session and some ‘spotlight’ pitch sessions from our companies, demonstrating where they’ve got to, to date,” Gujral confirmed.
The London Blockchain Conference features seven conference tracks, including an “Investing in Blockchain” track dedicated to investors, entrepreneurs and blockchain enthusiasts who wish to learn more about emerging tech VC funding. The overarching theme is uniting enterprise, AI and Web3, so it is a little something for everyone.
