The Bitcoin Masterclasses have become among the most treasured resources in Bitcoin, with Dr. Craig Wright sharing his knowledge on several technologies and how they relate to Bitcoin. The Masterclasses are taking Dr. Wright back to his love for educating and are an invaluable asset for the industry, says nChain Executive Chairman Stefan Matthews.
“What Craig is at heart is an educator and a mentor,” Matthews tells CoinGeek Backstage reporter Becky Liggero.
Over the past decade, Dr. Wright has spent most of his time educating people who are not in the digital currency space, including global regulators, on the value of Bitcoin. With misinformation being rife about his creation, he has had to set the record straight and show the world that Bitcoin wasn’t meant to be an anti-establishment tool.
The downside has been that “we’ve missed out as an ecosystem on the value of his insight,” says Matthews.
The Bitcoin Masterclasses have ventured into artificial intelligence (AI), accounting and economics, IPv6, multicast, law, data privacy, and other fields, in addition to a deep dive into Bitcoin. As Matthews noted, Dr. Wright is vastly knowledgeable in these fields, giving the Masterclasses a sense of diversity.
“It’s something he’s doing well, and it needs to continue,” he said.
Matthews believes that 2023 is going to be a big year for Bitcoin SV. One of nChain’s biggest focuses this year has been the Philippines. Matthews pointed out that the Southeast Asian country is making big leaps towards integrating blockchain in both the private and public sectors.
