Interactive entertainment leader Ron Chaimowitz has joined the advisory board of esports monetization platform Kronoverse, effective November 1.

In a statement, Kronoverse CEO Adam Kling said,“Ron Chaimowitz knows what it takes to build a strong brand and bring changes to the gaming industry which is what we’re doing with Kronoverse’s gaming application of blockchain technology. His strategic experience is what we need to bring Kronoverse to the masses.”

Chaimowitz has had great success in helping to build brands and companies in the gaming industry. This has included his time when he was co-founder, CEO, and chairman of GT Interactive Software. During that time, the company produced some of the most popular games on the globe, including Doom, Duke Nukem, Deer Hunter, and Quake.

Chaimowitz began his career at CBS, Inc., where he helped to create three divisions in their music and broadcast groups. This included the first Hispanic record company in the United States.

Following that, he launched GoodTimes Home Entertainment, which became the largest independent residential video company in the United States. The success of this company helped start GT Interactive which he built into a $500 million empire in six years.

Chaimowitz was awarded the “Entrepreneur of the Year Award” in 1997 by Ernst & Young. He has appeared on Forbes top 100 list for Silicon Valley developers. He holds an MBA from The Stern School at NYU Graduate School of Business.

Kronoverse is the creator of the skill-based strategic game CryptoFights, which “utilizes the Kronoverse platform which replaces the games networking layer from traditional cloud servers to the BSV blockchain. This unlocks massive benefits for gaming by giving the eSports ecosystem a transparent and fair way to have game integrity.” CryptoFights is scheduled to have an open beta launch in Q1 2020.

Kronoverse uses blockchain technology on its platform to decentralize the network operations while creating a transparent multiverse system to make the game more efficient and more enjoyable for users. The platform makes it easier to monetize games by integrating several features, such as wagering, in-game advertising, and item transfer fees.
