The second edition of the Philippine Blockchain Week (PBW) is just around the corner, and before we dive into the amazing week-long event, let’s see what it has to offer.

The second Philippine Blockchain Week will be held at the Marriot Grand Ballroom at Newport World Resorts in Pasay City. Ticket prices start at $37.5 for standard viewing to $825 for VVIPs.

Breaking out this September 18, the event will begin with a Metaverse gala from the collection of famous Filipino fashion designer Michael Cinco. The next three days—September 19 to 21—are reserved for panel and keynote discussions, as well as Blockchain 101 for students and local government officials.

Unlike the inaugural PBW last year, which focused on the popularity of NFTs and fintech, this second strand will be delving more into educating the crowd about emerging technologies like the blockchain, metaverse, and artificial intelligence (AI).

On the official first day of the PBW 2023 on September 19, attendees will dive into the world of blockchain, metaverse, and beyond. The Diplomatic Hall of the Marriot’s Grand Ballroom will see the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) host a Blockchain 101 for government officials while the rest of the day is allotted for International Council for Small Businesses talks and a Nexus Fan gaming fair powered by Tier One Entertainment.

More are planned for September 20, which will be delving into education, starting with discussions from the Fintech Alliance and Analytics & Artificial Intelligence Association of the Philippines. Throughout the morning until the afternoon, DICT will be hosting another Blockchain 101 session, this time for the students in NCR. Simultaneously, Tier One Entertainment would have another Nexus Fan Fair round. At exactly 7 p.m. PHT, Bitskwela will have their Bull or Bear Debate in the Diplomatic Hall of the Grand Ballroom. GMM MAP Ambassador Night will also take place on this day.

Day 3 of the conference proper will witness keynote and panel discussions from the Blockchain Council of the Philippines and the Department of Trade and Industry’s (DTI) creativity summit and hackathon. The day will also bear witness to CNN’s Final Pitch on VC startup matchmaking. The fun continues further with PBW set to introduce the first decentralized Kpop idol group tripleS’ mini-concert, before the event’s after-party.

Closing the second PBW, DICT and the Blockchain Council of the Philippines will announce the winners of the Philippine Block Rewards on September 22.
