Happy holidays from Bitcoin Association’s Jimmy Nguyen and Craig Wright

The year is coming to a close and with it, the holiday season is kicking into high gear. Whether you’re celebrating Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Festivus, Yule, Rizal Day, Unduvap Full Moon Poya or Boxing Day, Dr. Craig Wright and Bitcoin Association Founding President Jimmy Nguyen are wishing you a happy holiday season.

In what can only be described as “Bitcoin’s best year yet,” 2021 was a year in which we saw Bitcoin mature and get into its stride. Bitcoin SV transaction fees finally exceeded the block reward for the first time ever as Satoshi envisioned all those years back. BSV became the most data-rich blockchain, surpassing BTC and the biggest Bitcoin blocks ever were mined this year. There was also the trial of the century in which Dr. Wright was vindicated as the jury sided with him and absolved him of six of the seven counts leveled against him.

The Bitcoin SV ecosystem, therefore, has every right to celebrate after a great year.

In their season’s greetings video posted by Bitcoin Association, Dr. Wright and Jimmy wishes the Bitcoin community happy holidays as they take time off to be with their families and loved ones.

“Merry Christmas, happy Hanukkah—all the holidays—and happy new year 2022 to all you BSV supporters all around the world,” Jimmy said.

As Dr. Wright pointed out, while he was the one who built Bitcoin, the only reason it works today as BSV is because we all participate in one way or another. By himself, he couldn’t have managed to make Bitcoin the great success it is today.

“Together, we’re stronger.”
