Trade Bitcoin BCH, other cryptos with LINE’s BitBox exchange

App developer LINE Corporation is moving into the cryptocurrency space with its new BitBox platform, launching in July.

The Tokyo-based firm, notable for its messaging apps as well as a host of other products, unveiled its planned launch at the LINE Conference 2018 this week. Offering support for trading in over 30 cryptocurrencies, the platform will be launched to global customers outside of the United States and Japan.

Amongst the cryptocurrencies on offer, BitBox traders can deal in Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Ethereum, Litecoin and SegWit BTC, with fees of just 0.1% offering highly competitive terms.

According to BitBox, the range of coins chosen for adoption at launch were intensively screened, and particularly selected as the safest and most stable options on the market, as judged by a committee of independent experts.

With LINE developing a reputation for privacy and protecting the data of their users through its app and subsequent ecosystem, the company said it would carry forward these traditions into its BitBox service. CEO Takeshi Idezawa said BitBox will combine ease of use with industry-leading security to create a compelling offer for their customers.

“With BitBox, LINE users will be able to access cryptocurrencies more easily, while also being assured of state-of-art security measures to protect their assets,” according to the CEO.

While there will be no option to trade in fiat for the time being, the flexibility of the services comes from the number of supported cryptocurrencies, providing international customers with straightforward, low cost exchange.

In keeping with LINE’s global ambitions, BitBox will launch with support for some 15 languages, including Chinese and Korean, as well as English.

The decision to feature Bitcoin BCH so prominently in its launch lineup is consistent with a growing trend across both crypto payment apps and merchants, increasingly turning from the SegWit BTC coin to Bitcoin Cash, the only true blockchain and the world’s only functional cryptocurrency.

Note: Tokens on the Bitcoin Core (SegWit) chain are referenced as BTC coins; tokens on the Bitcoin Cash ABC chain are referenced as BCH, BCH-ABC or BAB coins.

Bitcoin Satoshi Vision (BSV) is today the only Bitcoin project that follows the original Satoshi Nakamoto whitepaper, and that follows the original Satoshi protocol and design. BSV is the only public blockchain that maintains the original vision for Bitcoin and will massively scale to become the world’s new money and enterprise blockchain.
