Taking place on Wednesday, October 4, at the prestigious Randolph Hotel, the Oxford edition of the Global CIO Institute events will provide a mix of thought leadership, best practices, and networking sessions for enterprise-level CIOs.

The idea is to create an exclusive, intimate space for peer-to-peer collaboration, thoughtful debating, and carefully paired one-to-one meetings between CIOs and Global CIO Institute partners. Companies confirmed for attendance in Oxford include the U.K. Ministry of Defence, Nokia, Barclays, NHS England, Aviva, and the list goes on.

Topics for discussion throughout the day include AI-powered integration and content, blockchain technology, leadership, diversity, social impact, operational efficiency, and more.

nChain has signed on as the event’s Official Category Partner, with CIO Christine Leong, also an Oxford University alum, to deliver a keynote speech titled, “nChain: Creating a Social Impact Enterprise that is Changing the World.”

Alongside Leong will be nChain’s Simit Naik, and the pair look forward to making the most of their time alongside such a high-profile selection of CIOs in the United Kingdom.

“We’re always excited to connect with forward-thinking companies and professionals contributing to new technologies,” Leong shared with me leading up to the event.

“Global CIO Institute is a fantastic platform for innovators to share their expertise and knowledge of various industries, and we’re honored to be able to contribute. We know this event will give rise to new ideas and foster collaboration not just on new technologies, but the use cases they enable,” she said.

In addition to educating delegates via Leong’s speech, the nChain team looks forward to face-to-face meetings with delegates to share knowledge on several areas that touch the blockchain space.

“We aim to expand the delegates’ existing knowledge on a variety of subjects, including the disruptive nature of Web3, the business opportunities raised with the Web3 evolution. We’ll be touching on some of the emerging technologies which are enabling companies in supply chain, retail, financial services and other industries to transition to a more efficient and inclusive Web3 model,” Leong confirmed.

“We believe revolutionary innovations such as digital identity will allow businesses to unlock new revenue streams and enhance their existing business models,” she added.

We at CoinGeek can’t wait to bring you the highlights from the event, especially from a blockchain tech and AI perspective. Stay tuned for our video coverage, and if you’re interested in attending or sponsoring a future Global CIO Institute event, simply get in touch via their website.
