Organizers of the CoinGeek Conference in Zurich this week are giving away a limited-edition “Nakamoto” watch by Franck Muller to one lucky online attendee. The Swiss luxury watchmaker is producing only 100 of the watches, featuring a modern design that clearly reflects the original Bitcoin, BSV.
This is no participation award, like some proof-of-stake blockchain. Attendees will have to compete for the prize by showing their own proof of work during the online event. Those who registered via our virtual platform (which should be everyone who signed up) will need to earn points by watching full video presentations, following links, interacting with exhibitor stands and documents available, and for communicating with other attendees on the platform.
You’ll also have to participate live—no points for watching recordings! Each action earns a number of points, which will be added up and displayed on each attendee’s profile but visible only to themselves.
The Franck Muller “Nakamoto” watches feature a modern, tech-influenced design in black and the correct shade of Bitcoin yellow, with the Bitcoin logo is appropriately oriented at 90 degrees. Whatever happens in the future, owners and wearers of the exclusive watches will be forever on Nakamoto time.
Ignite the power of data—on BSV
The theme for the event is “Ignite the Power of Data” and the focus will be on applications that leverage the BSV network‘s massive data processing capacity. There will be presentations on everything from healthcare to eSports/iGaming, NFTs and how they can be used properly, the environmental impact of digital assets, and the future of money.
BSV isn’t afraid of challenges by Bitcoin skeptics. The last event featured Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales, and this time there’ll be keynote presentations by Nassim Nicholas Taleb and Nouriel Roubini—both of which promise to be triggering in the most thoughtful ways.
Other guests include the European Commission’s Head of Unit for Digital Innovation Pēteris Zilgalvis, J.D., Liechtenstein’s Financial Centre, Innovation (SFI) Director Dr. Thomas Dünser, and Switzerland’s Head of Capital Markets & Infrastructure, State Secretariat for International Finance (SIF) Nino Landerer, to talk about blockchain law and regulation.
There will also be panel discussions featuring Urs Birchler, Professor of Banking, University of Zurich, Dr. Jürg R Conzett, Founding President from Switzerland’s MoneyMuseum, Swiss National Bank Board Member Thomas Moser—and of course Dr. Craig Wright, the inventor of Bitcoin.
Bitcoin Association Founding President Jimmy Nguyen will announce the winner onstage at the conclusion of the three-day event. CoinGeek Zurich begins on Tuesday 8th June 2021 at 09:00AM (Central Europe Time) and finishes Thursday 10th June at 16:30 (CET).
If you’re not in Zurich and haven’t yet registered for the live event, head over to the official conference page and click “Register”. As well as giving you the chance to win a luxury limited-edition watch, attending the event online is completely free.
