The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has been discussing digital money this week, dubbing it “special currency.” The international body said digital currency was likely the next evolution in global money, highlighting that digital currencies will allow anyone to participate in the global economy with low cost and instant transactions.

As the only blockchain protocol with the scaling capacity to handle the transaction volumes required of a consumer cryptocurrency for daily transactions, Bitcoin SV (BSV) is uniquely well positioned to take advantage of these shifting trends.

In other news, scientists at Los Alamos National Laboratory have been leading the fight against illegal block reward mining, with the development of a new artificial intelligence (AI) technology to detect unwanted mining activity.

The AI prevents hackers from compromising high power computing facilities, which have been the target of an increasing number of so-called ‘cryptojacking’ attacks in recent months. By flagging suspicious mining activity earlier, it is hoped the technology will help organizations protect their precious computing resources from unwanted interference.

Meanwhile, Crypto Valley in Zug, Switzerland has been welcoming BSV, during an exclusive event held in the emerging center for blockchain and digital currency. The event featured contributions from The Bayesian Group, TAAL (CSE:TAAL | FWB:9SQ1 | OTC:TAALF), the Bitcoin Association and nChain.

The event was set up to discuss the unique properties of BSV, and the technological advantages that make Bitcoin SV the optimum blockchain protocol for developers, businesses and consumers.

CoinGeek Conference Live is right around the corner. Coming live from New York’s Manhattan Center and the Kennington Studio in London, the event is set to be the biggest CoinGeek Conference to date, with high profile keynote speeches from some of the most respected names in the Bitcoin world and beyond. The event kicks off on September 30.
