Coming to the Global IoT Summit in Dublin? Here’s what to expect

Starting on June 20, 2022, the Global IoT Summit will be hosted in Croke Park Conference Centre, Dublin. It’s the fifth edition of the conference, and it will be co-located with IoT Week 2022. The summit will run from June 20-23 and will include keynote speakers like Dr. Craig Wright, Latif Ladid, and Jorge Pereira.

Global IoT Summit Agenda—Who’s speaking and when?

The summit will be packed with in-person and virtual speakers from various fields. However, the most relevant for BSV blockchain enthusiasts are the following:

GIoTS opening ceremony

The keynote speaker of the opening ceremony is Bitcoin’s inventor Dr. Craig Wright. Other speakers include Latif Ladid, Patrick Wetterwald, and Martin Serrano.

Ladid is the Founder and President of the IPv6 Forum, Wetterwald is IoT and Smart Grid Standardization Manager at Cisco, and Serrano is Principal Investigator & Data Scientist at Insight Centre for Data Analytics and Chair at i3-MARKET. 

Hearing from such prominent individuals alongside Bitcoin’s creator is sure to be both insightful and educational. You can catch the opening ceremony at 5:30 p.m. GMT on June 20, and it’s set to last for one hour.

IPv6-based 5G, IoT, cloud computing industry session 1

Ladid will chair this panel. Joining him will be Internet Associates CTO John Lee, Cisco’s R&D Principal Engineer Pascal Thubert, Chongfeng Xie from China Telecom, and Principal Enterprise Architect (IPv6 Lead) from Verizon Public Sector Ralph Wallace.

This panel will take place on June 21 at 1:45 p.m. GMT, and will last around 1 hour and 30 minutes.

CITIES2030 blockchain food supply chain parts 1 and 2

Ladid will moderate part 1 of this panel. Speakers will include Bext360 CEO Daniel Jones as well as CEO of DunavNET and Vice-President of the IoT Forum, Srdjan Krco.

Part 1 of this panel will take place on Tuesday, June 21, at 9 a.m. GMT. It will last for 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Part 2 will be chaired by Senior Strategic Business Partner of the Walton Institute, Hazel Peavoy. Speakers will include President of the Future Food Institute Sara Roversi, National University of Ireland Research Fellow Subhasis Thakur, and Tomaž Zdravec.

If you’re interested in catching part 2, it will take place at 11 a.m. GMT on Tuesday, June 21. It will last for 1 hour and 30 minutes.

What to expect from the Global IoT Summit in Dublin

At the recent BSV Global Blockchain Convention, the Internet of Things, IPv6, and BSV blockchain were central topics. These three will integrate and merge to form a smarter, more connected world fueled by Bitcoin micropayments.

At the Dublin summit, expect to hear from engineers, thinkers and visionaries, policymakers, and entrepreneurs interested in IoT. It will be a meeting of minds focused on how the Internet of Things will change the world in the coming years and decades.
