Marquez Comelab started his professional career in 2000 when the Internet was experiencing massive adoption.

Having had humble beginnings, Marquez was drawn to the promise of the Internet that whoever you are, wherever you may be, no matter your background or disadvantage, you can have the chance to improve your life and circumstance. You can start a website and do business with people around the world. Inspired by this, he quit his graduate job to begin his journey as an entrepreneur.

After starting and operating several businesses and helping other people do business online for most of the past two decades, Marquez came to realize that the Internet is no longer enough. Because, despite the advances made in recent years, many people are still excluded from participating in global ecommerce. Our financial, monetary and payment systems remain too slow, too complex, and more expensive than what is now possible with emerging technologies. These existing systems are fast becoming bottlenecks hindering global economic progress. They slow down innovation while neglecting the plight of half of the world’s population.

For this reason, Marquez believes and advocates that Satoshi’s vision of Bitcoin, Bitcoin SV (BSV), has the enormous potential to provide us with a fast, cheap and reliable payment system that empowers people around the planet.
