In this presentation, nChain’s Alex Mackay discusses the restoration of the original Bitcoin vision of Simplified Payment Verification (SPV) design that is more suitable for better point-of-sale design. Here, Mackay referred to the original Bitcoin whitepaper on what a good SPV should look like: a low bandwidth method for confirming payment that requires block handles and merkle paths.
