Boehringer partners with Solve.Care to launch Health Diabetic Network

German-based pharmaceutical giant Boehringer Ingelheim has teamed up with Solve.Care to develop a DLT-Based care network for diabetes patients. Solve.Care is a blockchain-based healthcare platform that enhances blockchain technology in the health industry for better coordination, administration and payment options.

Solve.Care is looking to design a blockchain and digital asset-powered network suitable for sharing data about diabetic patients. The healthcare system is dubbed as “Diabetes Care Administration Network.”

This health care system is designed to provide assistance in the coordination of diabetic patients’ care. To meet this objective, it will collect and share information on risks associated with diabetes, its symptoms and prevention. The system aims to improve the well-being of patients with diabetes.

In addition to diagnosis, the system provides a support system for patients by implementing Solve.Care’s coordination tool called Care.Wallets.

Diabetes Care Administration Network is expected to go live before the end of year 2019. Predeep Goel, CEO of Solve.Care said:

“The Diabetes Care Administration Network will help to bridge a knowledge gap by providing a platform which offers vital information on diabetes and cardiovascular diseases in an easily accessible manner. This is invaluable in the healthcare ecosystem as it allows patients to gain a better understanding of their disease while also coordinating their care needs.”

The system will be rolled out to over 25,000 patients through Arizona Care Network (ACN), which is a leading accountable care organization in the U.S. ACN is also a client of Solve.Care but in this case, it will provide concierge care management as well as support care coordinators. Its participation seeks to meet the objective of achieving better healthcare outcomes for the patients who participate in the system.

The vice president, Cardiometabolic Marketing, Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, Inc, Graham Goodrich announced:

“We are proud to join Solve.Care and the Arizona Care Network to provide patients and providers with additional solutions to help address diabetes and cardiovascular disease.”

The partnership is a milestone in the health industry as more healthcare providers adopt blockchain technologies to redefine efficiency and convenience. According to a tweet by Solve.Care, the system will deliver real solutions to real problems.
