International Cryptographic Module Conference

JOIN THE CRYPTOGRAPHY LEADERS THIS SPRING AS ICMC MOVES TO THE PACIFIC RIM

After years of growing participation in the Northeast, hundreds of cryptographic professionals will reconvene May 14-17 in Vancouver, Canada, for the seventh annual International Cryptographic Module Conference (ICMC19). Leveraging Vancouver’s direct access to countries around the Pacific Rim, the conference at ICMC19 will incorporate new content and perspectives: We’ll examine the growing emphasis on cryptographic certification by schemes in China, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, and others. We’ll showcase a range of West Coast startup firms that employ cryptography as a foundational technology. We’ll survey contributions by companies and organizations in Australia and Southeast Asia to the open source cryptographic protocols that power the Internet. And we’ll dive deep into the cutting-edge post-quantum crypto work that is taking place throughout Asia.

ICMC is the leading annual event for global expertise in commercial cryptography. At ICMC19 in Vancouver, over 500 industry leaders from over 25 countries will come together to address the unique challenges faced by those who develop, produce, test, specify, and use cryptographic modules, with a strong focus on standards such as FIPS 140-2, ISO/IEC 19790, and Common Criteria. The conference helps to foster a focused, organized community of users. ICMC reviews technical issues underlying cryptographic implementation including physical security, key management, side-channel analysis, open-source development, algorithm testing, quantum threats, embedded applications, standardization, validation programs, government policy, professional ethics, and more.

ICMC is designed for anyone involved with data security based in commercial encryption, especially those who develop, manufacture, test, specify or use certified commercial off the shelf cryptographic modules. The conference features a special focus on international standards such as FIPS 140-2, ISO/IEC 19790, and common criteria.
